Sunday Bible Study – Pauls Pastoral Letters
Led by Dan Smith
Written near the end of Paul’s life, 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus are called “pastoral” letters because they give instructions to Paul’s younger co-workers on how to guide the churches with which they are working. In these letters we see Paul’s affection for these younger brothers and his intentional mentorship of their ministry. Paul casts a vision of pastoral ministry, offers advice about how to choose leaders, gives guidelines on Christian conduct, warns about false teachings, and encourages Timothy and Titus to be bold witnesses of their faith in Jesus Christ
