Sunday Bible Study – Studies in Psalms
Led by Tom Beckner
The Psalms are often called “the heart of the Old
Testament,” not only because they are located
near the middle of our Bible, but also because it
works on our hearts. They express a wide variety
of emotions that continue to speak to our hearts
thousands of years after they were written.
Yet, few Christians realize that there is an
intentional arrangement of the book, that the
poems/songs contained within it connect with
different eras in Israel’s history, or that the book
is a part of the larger narrative story of God’s
revelation to His people.
Join us this Summer as we study the book,
identify some of its key themes, learn a bit about
how its poetry works, and even read some of
your favorite selections. You will leave this
study with an increased appreciation for this
section of God’s word.
