GriefShare
Description:Following the death of a loved one, people around you often don’t understand what you’re going through. Even though they want to help, they might not know what to say or do.  They wish you would “cheer up.”  And meanwhile you struggle with sorrow and loneliness.  That’s why there is GriefShare.

GriefShare is a thirteen-week support group program for people grieving a loved one’s death.  The group leaders have been through grief themselves and want to share the help and hope they’ve found.

At GriefShare, other members of the group know the emotions, the exhaustion, the struggle to just function at times.  They don’t rush or judge another person in grief, because they understand that each person’s grief is unique.

At weekly meeting you’ll watch a video on a grief-related topic and hear insights from counselors, pastors, and people who’ve lost a loved one.  After the video is a small-group discussion time (where you are not required to talk, if you’d rather just listen).  You’ll also receive a take-home workbook that you can read throughout the week and find daily encouragement and practical help.

If you have lost a loved one you are warmly invited to attend GriefShare.  It may very well be the best gift you can give yourself.
Requirements: A caring and compassionate heart, ability to listen and facilitate small group discussions.  Required training is provided as needed.
Ministry Needs: Only Leadership/Support Roles – as needed

We Care Ministry
Description: The “We Care Ministry” is a shepherding ministry that offers care and support to the entire congregation “by” the entire congregation. If we as members become aware of a need in the church, we as brothers and sisters in Christ are to first offer help and comfort and then communicate to the church member’s needs.
Matthew 25:38-40: And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
John 13:34-35: A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
