It is easier to build strong boys than to repair broken men.

Who We Are

Dads For A Day, Inc. is a faith-based volunteer nonprofit agency that provides one-on-one mentoring programs for at-risk boys living in fatherless homes.
What We Do

We teach these boys important virtues and life lessons that promote strong interpersonal skills, positive social behaviors, self-confidence and a sense of hope for their futures.
Why We Do It

Dads For A Day, Inc. was created to address the problems caused by the growing number of at-risk boys found throughout our Central Florida area.  Lake County, Marion County and Sumter County combined have more than twenty thousand homes where females are reported as being the sole head-of-household.

Join hands with us and show these boys that being fatherless doesn’t mean being hopeless…

How We Do It

We provide each qualified fatherless boy with a carefully matched, fully trained volunteer mentor who has a Christian worldview, is a positive male role model and has parenting experience with a family of his own.

Each volunteer mentor agrees to meet with his charge at least once a week for at least six months for a mutually enjoyable activity or group outing. During these activities the volunteer mentor will create opportunities to share important virtues and life lessons.

Every volunteer mentor accepted to the program will be required to pass a background check, provide two character references, possess a valid driver’s license and carry liability insurance on his automobile. All volunteers must be ready to have fun, experience new activities and help us change the world, one boy at a time.
